Ryan Palmer joins Team RBC

TORONTO –  RBC announced a new relationship with 2010 Sony Open Champion Ryan Palmer who will become a golf ambassador and represent the RBC brand globally.

RBC is the official banking and financial services partner for Palmer. As part of Team RBC, all players will showcase the RBC logo on their golf bags and apparel and be featured in RBC marketing and advertising campaigns planned for the U.S., Canada, and international markets. Palmer joins a group of world-class golf professionals including Jason Day, Luke Donald, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Brant Snedeker, Mike Weir, Graham DeLaet, David Hearn, Nick Taylor, Adam Hadwin, Morgan Pressel and Brooke Henderson as RBC’s ambassadors.

This announcement builds on RBC’s ongoing commitment to golf as the title sponsor of the 2015 RBC Heritage held at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and the 2015 RBC Canadian Open, which will be played at Glen Abbey Golf and Country Club from July 20 to 26 in Oakville, Ontario. RBC also provides support for the PGA of Canada, Golf Canada’s National Amateur Championships, Golf Canada’s development program and high performance national team.

Palmer is a three-time PGA Tour winner including the 2010 Sony Open, 2008 Ginn sur Mer Classic and 2004 FUNAI Classic. He also won the 2003 Clearwater Classic on the Web.com tour (formerly the Nationwide Tour).
